I remember I use to go to REI used gear sales, that take place on Saturday Mornings in their Parking lot. Where REI gets rid of the customer returns, open box , and slightly damaged goods for a pretty substantial discount.
But very time a sale is held, which was once every quarter, there would be a long line at REI by 7:30AM for a sale that starts at 8AM.
When they open the gates at 8 AM, there would be a stampeded on the stuff sitting in the parking lot.
For the 3 trips I took to the Used Gear sale, I think I only bought one thing, a used Pair of Vaude boots 40% off retail. I remember thinking to myself, there must be an easier way for a bargain hunter like me, who don’t mind buying like-new or gently used items.
Good news! Now there is — with Amazon Warehouse Deals.
Did you know you can find huge discounts on like-new, and used products on Amazon too, with Amazon Warehouse Deals?
This guide will show you how.
But first of all, what is an Amazon Warehouse Deal?
What is Amazon Warehouse Deals?
When a customer returns a product to Amazon, Amazon sometimes puts the returned item back into the regular inventory. But if the product or the packaging is damaged even slightly, Amazon will declare the item to be “un-fufillable”, as in not in saleable condition as New anymore.
When an item becomes un-fufillable, the seller of the item needs to either take the item back, or ask Amazon to dispose of it.
If the seller chooses to have Amazon dispose of it, the dirty secret is that Amazon sometimes doesn’t destroy the item, they actually will attempt to sell it as “Used”, at a lower price, in order to get rid of it.

There are also rare cases, when Amazon loses track of a batch of inventory, and then finds the inventory and has already re-imbursed the seller for “lost” inventory.
The newly found inventory may be sold under Amazon Warehouse Deals, as “Used – Like New”, at a discount.
Can I return Items bought from Amazon Warehouse Deals?
Absolutely. According to Amazon Warehouse Deals Return Policy
This is the beauty of the Warehouse Deals. Amazon offers the same great return policy as regular Amazon products. Even if the item is bought used, at a steep discount, you can still return it to Amazon. All items are Prime Eligible too!(You can try Amazon Prime free for 30 days!) So shipping is free and fast. Found a great deal in Amazon Warehouse Deals? Let me know in the comments!
How come using this hack, I cant change from Featured item, to lowest price ?
Hi Cindy,
Amazon disables the the option to sort items based on price for Amazon Warehouse for some reason.
As if they want to hide the lowest priced items.
But you can still force the search results to sort by price from low-to-high, with the &s=price-asc-rank option added to the end of the URL.
For example, the below URL will display all Amazon Warehouse items, sorted by price from low-to-high, with at least 70% off.
https://www.amazon.com/s?me=A2L77EE7U53NWQ&tag=wallethacke04-20&pct-off=70-&sort=price-asc-rank
Thank you for the great Warehouse Deals tips!!
Can you filter by condition as well? Good, very good, like new?
Do you know if this works in Canada? Amazon.ca?
Thx
Does anyone know how to sort a 3rd party seller’s inventory by price, lowest prices first?
