How to Get Things on Amazon for Free or with Big Discount
If you shopped on Amazon in the last couple of years, you’ve probably seen product reviews with disclosure at the end that said “I received this item at a discount or free for my honest review”.
You probably wondered how the heck did this person become so lucky to get free products for reviews.
Actually, anyone can sign up and get free or deeply discounted products through these Amazon discount sites. You do not need to be a professional product reviewer, you just need to know where to find these product review opportunities.
Amazon use to (before October 2016) allow sellers to give steep discounts on products away in exchange for “honest” reviews. But this is no longer allowed, so many of the Amazon review sites are no longer alive.
There are now several Amazon discount websites that offer not quite the same level of discounts, like Amazon Free Stuff codes that use to get passed around, but with 50% off (once a while even 90% off or free).
There are also a bunch of private Facebook groups that posts Freebies and Deeply discounted products as well. These take a little more work, but you’ll find tons of free/deeply discounted stuff in there.

So What’s the Catch?
There is no catch really. You’ll get a product (most of the time, something you really don’t need) at a deep discount. The product won’t be name brand, it’ll most likely be made in China.
These discounts are sponsored by the sellers to either liquidate, or to sell products faster to build a sales history, which can improve their product’s Amazon search visibility.
So as a shopper, you’re doing them a favor by increasing their sales velocity. The sellers are most of the time losing money to run these promotions.
What Kind of Products Can I Expect from These Sites?
The products you find on these Amazon Deals websites won’t be name brand products, like iPhones, or Cards Against Humanity.
You’ll find a lot of no-name brands, and products like supplements, exercise equipment, clothing, or niche products like mouse pads for dog lovers, or a wooden crucifix.
Most of the products you’ll probably never need, but they’re so cheap, I buy them sometimes as gifts for other people. 🙂

How to buy with Big Discount or free on Amazon
The sellers usually pay these websites to list their products. As a shopper, you’ll need to sign-up to be able to claim the discounted items. You’ll be provided an Amazon coupon code to use at checkout.
All items listed for sale will be Amazon Prime Eligible.
Some sites require you to have Prime Membership, so consider getting Prime or get the 30-Day Free Trial if you are not a member. (Free 30-day Trial for Prime Link Here)
Below are the list of sites that still offer deeply discounted products.

5. VIP Power Club

6. SnagShout
Decent site, but most discounts are around 40% currently.
7. Product Testing Group
Discounts are 50% or below, but you can browse the items they have before you sign-up.
Private Facebook Groups.
All of the sites above are great, but they’re not free for Sellers to post products on them. The sites generally charge a fee to the Amazon Sellers.
So many sellers post their freebies and giveaways on private Facebook groups. These groups (the good ones) are not public, so you’ll need to find them, and apply to join.
How to find private Amazon Freebie Facebook Groups
You’ll need to go into Facebook, and type in “Amazon Freebies” or “Amazon Giveaways” into the Facebook search bar. Then click on the “Groups” option.

To Join the group, you’ll most likely need to answer a couple of questions, to make sure you’re not a robot. Then wait for the admin to approve you.
What to do once you get into these groups
Once you’re in some of these groups, your Facebook feed may be flooded with posts of freebie / giveaway items, depending on how many, and which groups you join. Some groups are way more active than others.
Sometimes, the deals will just be a coupon code for 55% off a particular item. In which case, you just go click on the link and purchase the item with the coupon code provided in the post.

Some groups will post 100% product giveaways, with a limited supply, first come first serve. These will usually be the best deals, but you’ll need to constantly monitor your feed and respond fast for popular items.
Then there are others groups that will ask you to pay for the item, leave a review, and the seller will then refund you the cost with PayPal. This is actually against Amazon’s Terms and Services by the Seller. So you take your own risk with this method and I do not recommend this at all.
What’s your experience with these sites and Facebook groups? What do you do with the products that you get? Do you resell it or give it away? Let me know in the comments below.
Fail. Don’t waste your time –
Maybe some of these are old? I personally run a group on Facebook called Promo Queen (I bet searching for Promo Queen Cathy Roberts) would bring it up. I post some good deals, but not as good as sites like ZonDeals. There are sites out there that offer amazing deals, I get free stuff from ZonDeals all the time. I just got a pretty cool shelf for $1.99 too, but not from Zon.
Thanks for the tip Cathy.
I added ZonDeals to the list!
I have updated the list, and removed the sites that no longer exist.
